Question tags are short questions, in the end of sentences ]____________________________________________________________________________
- He’s a doctor, isn’t he?
- You work in a bank, don’t you?
- You haven’t met him, have you?
- She isn’t coming, is he?
- I said that, didn’t I?
- You don’t recognise me, do you?
- They couldn’t hear me, could they?
- You won’t tell anyone, will you?
We should use the AUXILIARY VERB in the tag question. If we don't have auxiliary verbs in the sentence, we put it in the tag question.
With ‘I am’
The question tag for ‘I am’ is ‘aren’t I?’
- I’m confusing you, aren’t I? Sorry for that!
